EFC's Yoga classes are designed to increase strength, flexibility and balance with an added benefit -- a noticeable reduction in stress. Designed for various fitness levels, each yoga class enables you to learn how to connect your body, breathing, mind and spirit.
The classes will focus on safety, proper alignment, asanas (poses), and breathing techniques as well as meditation, relaxation and integration. The beginning student is provided guidance in learning the proper techniques and the advanced students can refine their poses to a deeper level.
To enhance your Yoga experience, please avoid eating a large meal before class, wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a blanket for relaxation. Yoga mats, straps and blocks are provided.

"Hatha represents opposing energies: hot and cold (fire and water, following similar concept as yin-yang), male and female, positive and negative. Hatha yoga attempts to balance mind and body via physical postures or "asanas", purification practices, controlled breathing, and the calming of the mind through relaxation and meditation.
Relax, strengthen and soothe your body and mind in this yoga class appropriate for beginning to intermediate level students. Focus is on balanced integration of mind, body, and spirit. Postures (asana) and posture flows (vinyasa) increase strength and flexibility of the body.
